Customer Q & A2019-08-08T20:46:01+02:00
I have a concern about putting pictures on my wall after i have installed the Paint-On System.2019-08-12T09:20:28+02:00
There is no need to be concerned about this. Put the heaters on walls where your pictures won’t go, or clearly mark where the heater is so that you always remember not to put pictures in that spot. The heater is a panel design, and will never take up more than a 1m2 area per panel. You can also paint the baseboards and lower-half of the walls where pictures don’t go. As well as, paint the ceiling or floor instead.
Lastly, you could even put the heaters in-between pictures. However the best way is to paint low on the wall. There is no risk, and this is already done for standard convection radiators.
Also, you mention it would have to be around 50 degrees celsius in a home, but is that not too hot? What if you bump into or graze a wall?2019-07-07T19:09:36+02:00

Our system is designed to operate at any select temperature based on your personal requirements. The maximum operating temperature one can chose to run the panels at is 50°C for a 250W system (a single panels surface). The panels can be sent to emit at 25°C up to 50°C, they operate most efficiently between 45°C – 60°C. This is safe to touch, generally speaking since the panels are not on constantly. With smart-sensing they can also be automatically switched off should someone get to close to the panels surface (capacitive sensing). This is not a normal feature that our company offers, but it is a precaution one can take if you are worried. We have run many experiments, and never has anyone been burned. The panels are safe to touch once installed, and the surface temperature is yours to select.

Can you do an energy consumption comparison to current systems for me?2019-07-07T18:59:35+02:00

All cost analysis are on our website, or in our PPT (available at your request). Cost comparisons with other market technologies are the consumers responsibility.

How long does the installation take?2019-07-07T18:57:03+02:00

A home of 120 square metres of living space can be fully installed with an operational Paint-On heating system within maximum 48 hours or less. The first coat actually takes about 15 minutes to dry. It is dried using  air-flow, and then the second coat can be applied to the preheated first coat. The paint is ethanol-based, this is an eco-friendly and non-toxic organic solvent. It meets all indoor air standards, (HS), so long as active ventilation and open windows are used during the application period.

How is your product delivered?2019-07-07T18:52:46+02:00

As an ethanol-based paint, ready to be used after mixing. The polymer-carbon layer settles at the bottle during rest time. However once stirred in properly, the paint stays stable for over 3 hours.

How do you electrically connect to the painted surface?2019-07-07T18:47:16+02:00

We use extremely thin  pieces of copper tape. They are roughly 0.2 of a millimetre thick and 20 millimetres wide. They are adhesive can be connected to the power supply or a transformer using a cable. It is possible to operate the painted panels on grid power which an AC transformer brings down to 24 volts, or you can simply take the power directly from the DC side of the system, e.g. from the solar battery. Even more, they can operate on straight AC mains 110v or 220v. The DC system has the advantage that there is no AC field, making the system perfectly electromagnetically compatible. And that is why PhotoVoltaics, solar batteries and our paint are such a great combination.

How warm does the paint become while in operation?2019-07-07T16:08:42+02:00

Between 40 to 45°C.  It is also possible to use it as electric floor heating. About 50 percent of the heat is given off in the form of radiant power. That allows bringing a room to a very comfortable temperature with very little energy. The radiators of the past are no longer needed, neither are water systems. Simply apply the coat of paint, and thats all you need. The heat output is determined by the thickness of the coat of paint and the surface area that radiates the heat.

How long will it take for the heat to become distributed around the room. I would assume it also depends on the size of the room?2019-07-07T15:45:24+02:00

For one panel of 1m2 running at 250W in a 10m2 room, it would take the panel 25-30 minutes to bring the room up to temp and only 5-10 minutes after that once the room is warmed up the first time. Per 10m2 only one panel of roughly 1m2 is needed. This can operate between 250W and 500W depending on the local climate. One can also chose to have two 1m2 panels per 10m2 if in a very cold region, they would only need to be 250W each, so 500W for the same space, but the heat is more evenly and more quickly distributed in this way. We recommend 2 panels for up to an open space of 20m2. The general idea is to produce a thermal output of 0.8 – 1.0kWh/ 10m2 at all times that you want the heat to be on. Also due to the PID controlled Raspberyypi Smart-thermostat system that we are developing, the panels will only run between 11% – 33% of the “on-demand” time. This depends on the season. So, roughly 6-11 hours per day in the coldest months.

What colours does the paint come in?2019-07-07T15:41:19+02:00

Only black. We have added no dyes, fillers, pigments, metal salts to change the colour. Because of what our product contains, the paint is always black. This is the basis of its conductivity. Once it has dried on the wall, it can be plastered or painted over with any colour the customer desires.

Does it work in bathrooms tiled over?2019-07-07T15:36:17+02:00

Yes, our system can be painted over tiles if that is your wish, or placed on the ceiling, walls, baseboard area, the corners of the room. We recommend only 24V maximum operation in areas that are potentially very wet, due to building codes and electrical law.

What is the cost per square meter?2019-07-07T09:53:02+02:00

At current manufacturing price, our paint system is between €10 – €20  per m2

Will the paint crack under the heat stress?2019-07-07T09:41:46+02:00

Not at all, the polymer structure is stable beyond 180°C and will not warp, flake, or crack when exposed to many heating cycles. Over 25+ years of life.

Has there been any independent testing of your system? Or comparison to your radiators?2019-07-07T01:38:00+02:00

Our system is so NEW and REVOLUTIONARY that we have many independent tests underway. We currently have 3 independent residential installations in progress in the US and 2 corporate verification tests underway within the Mohawk/Unilin R&D.

Does it have to be a plaster board wall or can you paint onto concrete walls?2019-07-07T01:34:21+02:00

No, you can paint onto any surface you wish. Our paint adheres very well to wood, paper, plastic, stone, brick, glass, concrete, rubber, metal, fabric, leather, and many more.

Will this work if you have connected several heaters together? Can you control each heater individually? For example if you need 23°C in the living room and 20 deg°C in kitchen?2019-07-07T01:22:28+02:00

100% Yes! One of the revolutionary advantages of our technology is the complete customisation of a climate experience per space! Each panel is uniquely customisable and controllable individually per room or simultaneously. The choice is yours to make!

Is your paint eco friendly?2019-07-07T01:15:24+02:00

Yes! Our paint uses a 100% non-toxic and safe solvent, diluted Ethanol, made from left-over grain stock. 100% Metal free, no heavy metals, nano-particles, or microfibers at all! Completely carbon based with a bio-degradable polymer binder.

Does the infrared give off any radiation that could be bad for body ?2019-07-07T01:11:27+02:00

Infrared light is also very good for you, your body, and overall well being.

Our paint-on heating system provide a warm, summer day-like climate. This is much better than spending a night in with your gas heater throbbing away. It just feels better, you feel energetic and you don’t freeze as you move around the room. Infrared heating panels help to improve blood circulation and boosts your immune system (perfect for fending off the winter seasonal depression). But don’t just take our word for it, Japanese doctors are even using infrared heating panels aid in the cardiovascular health of patients!

The way it works is because infrared heating penetrates much deeper than regular heating, this helps blood vessels to expand and allow more blood to pump through. Exactly like how you get rosy cheeks on a sunny day, that’s your blood vessels expanding from the infrared found in sunlight.

Don’t forget that the objects in the room retain heat, keeping them dry. Mould does not grow in dry places, so these infrared heaters also double as dehumidifiers by keeping walls and the ceiling warm. This can help to reduce allergies and, because infrared heating doesn’t stir up the air, it means that there is no dust circulation. Asthmatics everywhere can breathe a collective sigh of relief!

What range voltage and current do these operate in?2019-07-07T01:08:52+02:00

—Our Paint-On Heating system can operate between 5 Volts and 220 Volts safely (this includes US of 110V)

—The Paint-On Heating system operates safely between 1Amp and up to a maximum of 4Amp per panel. Generally we recommend and state in the Ebook a standardisation of 250W consumption per 1m2 of panel surface, this is a standardisation for urban/domestic and commercial space-heating only.

Is it easy to control the rate at which it takes on electricity beyond unplugging it? I’m thinking about overheating/underheating issues etc. does it have a “thermostat”?2019-07-07T01:02:25+02:00

Yes, the paint on heating is compatible with all current Thermostat systems and can be installed along the same fashion as all current heating systems. We recommend a universal or “plug” thermostat be used to control the surface temperature of the panels and a smart-thermostat to control the temperature in your space. If installing into your mains-directly (consult a professional electrician before doing so) you do not need a plug thermostat and can use only a smart-thermostat for your entire home. The choice is up to you.

Would this theoretically work in/on an automobile, boat, vehicle?2019-07-07T00:48:16+02:00

Yes! Our paint dries water-proof, can be sealed with typical hardware-store resins, and has incredible adhesion capabilities. You can paint any vehicle, the inside of an RV, vehicle, boat, hunting heat, the inside of your tent, or so much more. The options are only limited to your imagination.
